Week 1 Project: My Full Sail Story
Before I started Full Sail, I tried for many years to get better at video creation through my own research and unassisted practice. I was disappointed with the result and frustrated that I could not execute on my creative energy. I had always thought I wanted to teach myself the art of digital movie making. In the past, I had been proud of teaching myself technical subjects, but with video, I had no idea what I didn’t know.
But then I was introduced to Full Sail through a friend and current student. My interest started off like a small spark. Because of that I started looking into the programs that Full Sail offered. I was skeptical of what I could possibly learn that I couldn’t teach myself, and I honestly didn’t want to spend the money.
Because of that I learned about all the things I could be learning from others at a much faster pace than I was teaching myself. That little spark of interest turned into a fire of desire to get started and learn everything they had to teach. Because of that I contacted someone at Full Sail to see if it was even a real possibility for me. When I found out that it was a real possibility, I hesitated because I was afraid to make the commitment.
Until finally I took the leap of faith and signed up for the program. My fear turned into excitement as my dream started to overlap with with reality.
And ever since I decided to pursue my passion for media I HAVE been learning a lot at a really fast pace. My spirit has calmed as I’m pursuing my artistic purpose.
